Have you ever wondered what it's like to work at a dynamic company like Future Power Team Ltd? Meet Scarlett, one of our trusty admin team members who has been with the company for just over six months. I sat down with Scarlett and asked if she would be happy to give us an insight to her daily routine at Future Power Team, and she was more than happy to share her experience with me. Read on to find out more!
What do you enjoy most about working for Future Power Team?
I enjoy the work environment. I feel comfortable and can have a laugh and joke.
From being in the office with Scarlett and the rest of the team, it's clear that a positive and relaxed atmosphere makes all the difference and encourages a healthy and productive working environment.
A typical day in the office
A typical day for Scarlett starts at 9am, but there's nothing typical about the variety of tasks she handles:

9:00am: The day kicks off by checking emails. Some get replied to right away, while others are forwarded to the relevant department for them to deal with.
- WhatsApp Check: Next, it's time to scan the WhatsApp groups for any quotes, invoices, or receipts that need attention. These are prioritized to keep the business wheels turning smoothly.
- Lead Typing: Leads that came in over the weekend or overnight are then typed up. It's a meticulous process, but essential for keeping the sales pipeline flowing.
- Master Sheet Update: The master sheet is updated with results from the previous day’s leads, ensuring everyone from the admin team to the sales team is on the same page.
- Board Tasks: After these initial tasks, it's over to the board to see what else needs doing. This might include working on the IWA, adding customers to the schedule, or updating the MCS schedule.
- Throughout the Day: Amidst all these tasks, phone calls and emails continue to come in, demanding swift and efficient responses.
It's a packed schedule, but an interesting one that keeps Scarlett on her toes.

How has your role supported your personal learning and development?
Since starting at Future Power Team, I feel that I’ve gained valuable knowledge about solar energy, including its benefits and basic workings. My communication skills have definitely increased, especially over the phone with customers. Learning to stay organized and tackle one task at a time has been a handy skill developed on the job.
What motivates you?
Learning about how things work in the solar industry and how it benefits different people. I have been curious from the off about the solar industry and being able to understand it a bit deeper is what drives me.
The skills I’m picking up here aren’t just beneficial for my role but my life too, and I think they’ll be useful later in life when I hope to travel.
Why Future Power Team?
Joining Future Power Team was a decision I made because I knew I wanted to work in administration. Solar has always interested me so when the job came up, it felt like it was meant for me. I’ve learned so much here already and hope to expand my skills and knowledge with the hope to start my own business one day.
