Today, we’re introducing Elaine, our fantastic Engagement Coordinator. From connecting with customers to keeping everything running smoothly on the phones, Elaine plays a vital role in making sure we deliver the best service possible.

We sat down with Elaine for a quick Q&A to learn more about her role and what she loves about working here. Read Elaine’s Q&A below and get to know the person behind the role!

Who are you and what is your role?

My name is Elaine and I am an Engagement Coordinator for Future Power Team

How long have you worked with Future Power Team?

I've worked here for six months now. The rest of the team are lovely and I feel like I've slotted into the role nicely.

What does a typical day look like for you?

My typical work day can’t start without a cup of tea; it’s my fuel. I start the day by catching up with the rest of the team, checking if there’s anything important I need to know before I start work. I check my emails and tackle any jobs arising from them, and then I check the schedule for the day. This means looking through customer lists both new and existing and contacting them based on what the schedule says. Some customers have requested us to contact them for a product quote, others are booked in for telephone appointments. When booking appointments, I have to check the calendars of the energy analysts to ensure their availability matches the customers’ and then I book them in for an appointment. The job is so fast paced, it’s not long before lunchtime comes around. After that, I’m back to it for the afternoon, before logging off and signing out for the day.

What do you love most about your role?

My job is both varied and rewarding. I love how varied this role is and I love meeting customers from different backgrounds. Being customer service based suits me well; building rapport with customers is an important part of the job for me. I enjoy engaging with different people and helping them start their journey with us.

What are some of your biggest challenges and how do you overcome them?

Sometimes not all of the people we speak to are kind. I find that a big challenge, but thankfully it’s not all that often.

What do you find most rewarding about your role?

The role is rewarding in so many ways, especially when we get feedback from satisfied customers.

If you could describe your job in three words, what would they be?

Rewarding, challenging, satisfying

Any other comments?

The people that I work with are varied with lovely personalities which makes for a lovely work atmosphere. So far I am really enjoying working at Future Power Team and I have learned so much about the world of solar that I didn’t know before.

Elaine’s dedication and passion for people shows more each day, making her an invaluable part of Future Power Team. Whether she’s connecting with customers, supporting the team or bringing positive energy into the workplace, she plays a key role in keeping everything running smoothly. We’re incredibly lucky to have her on board!
